How to Measure Dog Neck for Collar

Currently there are no industry standards for dog collar sizes, so the best way to choose a right collar is to measure your dog’s neck to ensure perfect fit. This why we decided to adjust each collar for each dog.

Right Dog Collar Size

To understand better how to pick the right dog collar, see the image and explanation below.

The right picked collar should let you use the holes in the middle.

If you use the last hole of the collar - it´s mean that collar is too small. If you use the 1st hole - the collar is too large and it will interfere with the hanging “tail”, which often cannot be cut off.

Dog Neck Girth

To measure your dog neck you will need the soft tape measure (centimeter). If you do not have any, you can use any thread or yarn and ruler. If you do not have a ruler, but you have a printer, download our Printable Ruler.

If you are purchasing an item as a gift and do not have access to the dog or would like to anticipate the adult size of your puppy, you may use the chart below as a guide.
