Each collar is made to the dog's neck measurement, so it can't be remade after the fact. If you're not sure of the size, a gift card is the safer gift: it arrives by email in minutes, never expires, and lets them order in the exact measurement.

Start with our breed guide. Find your dog's breed and you'll see which of our five ranges it usually falls into: Toy & Miniature, Small, Middle, Large or Extra Large. It's an approximate scale, based on the typical build of each breed, so treat it as a starting point rather than a measurement.

From there it depends on the piece.

Bandanas tie, so they adapt to a range of necks. If your dog is between two ranges, is a mix, or you simply want it looser, write it in the order notes and we'll adjust the cut for you at no extra cost. Just tell us before we start making it, ideally within 24 hours of ordering.

Bow ties clip onto the collar, so the breed guide is enough.

Collars and leashes are cut to a real measurement. Take 30 seconds with a tape measure following this guide and give us the number in centimetres. Everything is made after your order comes in, so we work to your measurement rather than to a standard size.

We don't hold stock: every bow tie, bandana and collar is made after your order comes in. That means we can cancel or change anything until we start cutting, usually the first 24 hours if we have all required information. Write to info@marcpetite.com and we'll issue a gift card for the full amount, with no expiry date. Once the piece is in production we can't cancel it, because it was made for you and for nobody else.
